Sabotaged~Dani Pettrey~Book Review

Sabotaged (Alaskan Courage #5)

~Synopsis~

Growing up, goody-two-shoes Kirra Jacobs and troublemaker Reef McKenna were always at odds. Now paired together on Yancey’s search-and-rescue canine unit, they begin to put aside old arguments as they come to see each other in a different light. Then a call comes in from the Iditarod that will push them to their limits.

Kirra’s uncle, a musher in the race, has disappeared. Kirra and Reef quickly track the man, but what they discover is harrowing. Frank’s daughter has been kidnapped. In order to save her, the man must use his knowledge as a mechanical engineer to do the kidnapper’s bidding or she will die. Kirra and Reef, along with the entire McKenna family, are thrown into a race to stop a shadowy villain who is not only threatening a girl’s life, but appears willing to unleash one of the largest disasters Alaska has ever seen.

~My Review~

I see so much promise in this author’s writing that I’m excited!!
Both her characters Reef and Kirra were really thought out and multi-layered that it was incredible! I also love when a character has an interesting background story which Dani Pettrey has a really good talent of doing in all of her books that I’ve read so far. I just love how she combines a variety of faith, adventure and romance in her books. I guarantee you that if a author can successfully pull that off then I’m all in for that!
I also loved the suspense in Sabotaged because I was at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. There are only a few books that can have me at the edge of my seat. 🙂

All through this book and her others that she has written, has successfully portrayed the camaraderie between the brothers and sisters which is awesome! I loved reading the interesting stories of all the other characters as well. That is so good because sometimes when an author goes to the next book in the series it’s like I lose my interest for some reason but not with this book!

I love how her writing ideas are so fresh and exciting! She makes me want to go visit Alaska myself!

I’ve read Submerged and Shattered and I enjoyed both. Also it may be a good idea to kinda read the books in order because it might be a little confusing because there are so many stories included in this author’s books concerning the different characters. Trust me you won’t regret it! That’s just my opinion. I can’t wait to see what more Dani Pettrey has in store for us and I highly recommend this wonderfully inspired series! Oh, the book cover is absolutely stunning isn’t it? *Sigh* 🙂
